The Pulse of the Earth.
It was but yesterday I thought myself a fragment quivering without rhythm in the sphere of life. Now I know that I am the sphere, and all life in rhythmic fragments move within me. -Kahlil Gibran
Rhythm is everywhere. We can find it in the beating of our hearts, the bleeding of the women's womb, and the cycle of the seasons. It is in the music we make and in the dancing we do. All things are pulsing, all of the time. The Earth too has a heartbeat. But sadly, its beautiful rhythm is being drowned out by the nonsense we surround ourselves with in our daily lives. We have strayed from our connection to the natural world and fallen into an enchanted sleep of compliance. Our entire eco system is coming apart at the seams and we as humans, are at risk of losing the only home we have ever known. Enough is enough...it's time to wake up and it's time to make changes. We have the capacity to turn this demise around and preserve this amazing planet for future generations.
In honor of Earth Day, I ask that you join me on my personal quest to fall into sync with our great planet's heartbeat. We must find the way back to living by the natural cycles of the Earth. There are so many elementary things we can do that can create big changes. By no means do we all need to become long-haired hippy farmers, but we need to start listening. And then responding. My intention is to share with you the simplistic beauty I curate in my own life with the hopes that it will inspire you to implement such into your daily rhythms.
Gaia is crying out for our help...let's answer her call, together.
